Bredonborough The sky is grey

11.25

Bredonborough.

The sky is grey.

An e-letter from KC US management re: the show that has been worrying me. Agent, managements & production team have been looking at extending the stage or moving the show to other venues but have not been able to find a workable solution. Since last week discussions have been underway to find the best way to announce that KC will be appearing on their own. Fans who have already bought tickets will be given the option of having their tickets refunded for the full amount or exchanged for a cheaper ticket.

Also, an e-letter from David Singleton on the DVD reversed sonic-imaging --

The mystery is resolved. It appears to be a software fault in Adobe Premiere - the video software that Toby uses. Ironically, this is a top of the range, current version of the software.

When the file is played in his computer on Quick Time it is correct. When he plays the same file on the same computer, through the authoring software, the stereo is reversed.

We shall see what explanation Abobe offer, but it was not caused by user error. Terrifyingly, SADIE have confirmed that they know cases of programs which misread audio files and cause a reversal.

This means that, even had we done the DVD at a more normal leisurely pace, the same fault would have occurred.

Had the Japanese footage arrived on time, we would, however, have had the time to view approval copies, at which time we would have noticed the reversal.

One wonders how many DVDs are out there with the stereo the wrong way round...
